From the deepest archives of the Stains, recordings from our earliest days. As you can hear, our voices had not yet changed and our musical abilities were... in progress. Nonetheless, these recordings have a certain demented energy and outsider-ish quality.
"Eggs in the Pantry" is previously unreleased; the other tunes are from our second cassette, Bratwurst For Bubba, "released" in 1990 in an on-demand limited edition of 2. (Our first tape, 1989's Loud and Untalented, is apparently lost to history, possibly for the better, though samples from it will surely be shared here if it ever reemerges.)
Recorded directly onto a portable cassette recorder; for this reissue, a notable Montreal musician and producer who would probably prefer not to be named did a bit of EQing, but nothing could polish the rough edges off these nuggets of raw juvenile creativity.
